Romeo & the Beanos
an original screenplay by J. Thomas Wells
One morning a busy Starbucks in Washington, DC is pleasantly disrupted by an Indonesian shaman who has attached himself to the
canister of coffee beans and is chanting to them in a foreign tongue. He is politely removed from the premises but Romeo, one of the baristas, noticed that while he was chanting there was some movement in the canister.
Turns out they are magic beans that not only move but sing. Romeo befriends them but is fired in the process. He is thrust into a wild adventure with the shaman as they help the beans achieve their destiny in the music world.
The twist is the huge fire-breathing parrot that's been on their trail for thousands of years. Just when their sold out concert get's underway the parrot flies in snorting fire and hungry for beans. But when all looks black for the Beanos a miracle happens, for the beans are not really beans after all but something else . . .
