Love's Recipe for a Troubled World

          Paused with doubt - where's hope this day?                                                                                                    What can be done against the mounting dismay?

        The news doth say the future’s not bright,                                                                                                                                but it’s just their job to dim the light.

​

                 I still say that love shall have its day,                                                                                                despite all bids for the other way. 

              

           First, go for a walk and survey your realm,                                                                                                                 turn off any filters and just look around,                                                                                                                     and notice where good still holds its ground.

​

                       It’s an unhealthy swindle to paint it all black                                                                                                             and those that do have a deck that’s stacked.                                                                                                            Best response to that game - is turn your back.

 

                                  Yes there’s bad out there that’s certain to say,                                                                                                         but the news stirs it darker and replays it all day?                                                                                                                       Whose side are they on, anyway?
